Common questions
Starting point + frequency
Do I need to be fit before starting personal training?
No. You do not need prior experience or a particular fitness level. We start where you are, building technique, confidence and progress gradually.
How often should I train?
Most people benefit from two or three strength sessions a week, but your plan depends on your goals, schedule, experience and recovery.
What if I can only train once a week?
You can still progress. We use coached time where guidance matters most, with a realistic plan between sessions.
Schedule + delivery
Can you work around a busy or changing schedule?
Yes. We can build in shorter sessions, alternative days and travel-friendly workouts.
Can I train while travelling?
Yes. We can give you shorter workouts for the equipment you have.
Do you provide online or hybrid coaching?
Yes. Hybrid coaching pairs selected in-person sessions with an individual programme and remote support.
Training safely
What if I have an injury or ongoing pain?
We can modify exercise selection, range, load and training volume around your capacity and professional guidance. Coaching does not replace medical diagnosis or physiotherapy.
Can you work with my physiotherapist?
Yes. With your permission, we can incorporate their recommendations into your programme.
Am I too old to start strength training?
No. Strength coaching can be adapted to different ages and abilities.
Will training be too intense?
It should create progress, not leave you constantly exhausted. We adjust to your readiness on the day.
Will I be expected to lift heavy weights?
Not immediately. We build movement skill and confidence before adding load.
What if I feel intimidated by gyms?
We guide you through the equipment and a clear session structure so you can become more comfortable and independent.
Progress + goals
What if I have tried exercising before but could not stay consistent?
We build around what you can realistically maintain, including a minimum version for busy weeks.
How will we track progress?
By the measures that matter to your goal: strength, movement, fitness, body composition, daily habits or confidence—not body weight alone.
What happens if progress slows down?
We review training, recovery, lifestyle and consistency, then adjust the plan.
Do you offer training for events or sports?
Yes. Strength and conditioning can support goals such as running, HYROX-style fitness, hiking or recreational sport.
Where does training take place?
Forge & Flow provides in-person coaching in Singapore; exact location and available times are confirmed in your initial conversation.
How much does personal training cost?
We’ll explain the available options clearly before you decide to proceed.
